Aesthetic Halloween Photoshoot: A Twist on the Pumpkin Head Trend in Kamloops, BC

I was inspired by one of my fellow BC photographers Megan Shane @westheartphotography; I saw her do a shoot with black and white painted pumpkins and they looked so cool, I had to try it for myself! I wanted to put my own spin on it and knew I wanted to do monochrome outfits. I started out by painting the pumpkin heads my desired colour: white. I was going for an aesthetic twist and it absolutely paid off. I asked my models to dress in all white/cream/beige and surprised them with the white pumpkin heads. They were so excited!
I chose a location near TRU in Kamloops, BC that was full of sagebrush and mountain views. The white outfits stood out so beautifully against the sage and this shoot turned out better than I ever imagined.

PRO TIP: use washable paint so you can clean the pumpkins afterwards and send them to the compost bin.
